Una was a character from a famous British poem, “The Faerie Queene.” A scene from the poem depicts a young Una pointing the way forward to a lion. The 2021 Una & the Lion is struck in 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver. Unlike the prior year, the 2021 has a polished backfield, giving it a lustrous finish. The coin’s obverse is graced with the fifth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse features a beautiful depiction of Una alongside her guardian lion.
