2024 Canadian Coat of Arms 1 oz Silver

The 50 Cent coin has a special place in Canadian numismatics. The Canadian 50 cent coin is the first and longest circulating coin in Canada. The featured 2024 1 oz silver 50 Cent tribute celebrates the coins history.  The the Royal Canadian Mints first Branch was the Ottawa branch. The Winnipeg branch opened in 1976. It was responsible for making all Canadian circulating coinage. The Ottawa Branch would go on to create one of the most successful gold and silver bullion programs. The Canadian Coat of Arms 50 Cent tribute coin is one of only a few collector coins struck at the Winnipeg branch. The coin also features the coveted W privy mark making it extremely unique. The obverse side of the coin is graced with Susan Blunts Effigy of the late Queen Elizabeth II. It also features the double dates of the Queens reign (1952-2022). The reverse has a rendition of the Canadian Coat of Arms designed by heraldic artist Cathy Bursey-Sabourin.   The 2024 Canadian Coat of Arms has a textured specimen finish. A tailored specimen finish has a satin-like relief and a textured field created using angled lines that converge at the top like a pyramid. It was inspired by the unique pyramid shape of the Winnipeg branch designed by famed architect Etienne Gaboury. Mintage was set at a just 7500. The 50 Cent tribute coin was meticulously crafted and is already a collector’s piece. Each coin is absolutely pristine housed in the Royal Canadian Mint signature display case with a certificate of authenticity.
