The 2018 tribute coin was the first to introduce a unique laser-engraved background. A repeating pattern of maple leaves with the number 30 gives the coin a pulsating effect. A gold gilded edge along with a decorative banner was added across the maple leaf. The obverse side of the coin is graced with a gold-gilded effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Susan Blunt. Mintage was set at just 6,000 coins, making it one of the most sought-after maple leaves in the series. The masterfully struck 2018 Maple Leaf tribute coin is absolutely beautiful.
